Reminders

Overview

Quin not only provides you with recommended gestures for each of your contacts, it will also remind you when it’s time to extend those gestures. Reminders are a great way to stay on top of your outreach, whether it’s a birthday, vacation follow-up, or a set cadence.

There are two types of reminders in Quin — cadences and one-off events.

Cadences

Most people have a set frequency of when they’d like to reach out to their contact list. This is typically on a monthly or quarterly basis. When you sign up for an account with Quin, you’ll be able to set a global cadence for all contacts.

If you’d like to edit a cadence for a specific person, you can do so on their profile. Just click the three dots next to their name on their profile, and under “Touch reminders” click the pencil icon. From there you can edit the cadence reminders for that person.

Recurring celebrations

If you note a birthday or anniversary, Quin will also remind you automatically each year to buy a gift or a send a note to celebrate them.

One-off events

For individual events, such as following up on a vacation or surgery, you can set a single reminder with Quin. Simply message Quin [hyperlink to Chat > Reminders page] with what you’d like to be reminded of and when.

Visit our Chat page to learn more about how you can message Quin in-app, via SMS and email to create a reminder.

Snooze or delete reminder

If you’d like to delay a reminder, you can snooze it. On a reminder, click  the alarm clock icon and a pop-up will display allowing you to select your snooze timeframe.

If you’d like to remove the reminder complete, select the trash icon. For one-off event reminders, Quin will not remind you of this event again. However, for cadence reminders, it will skip that touchpoint and resurface on the next cadence rotation. For example, if you have a three-month cadence set and you delete the current reminder, it will remind you again in another three months to touch base with that person.
